Garden greenhouses
Garden greenhouses allow the hobbyist gardener the opportunity
to cultivate all year, or for at least a few months beyond the local
natural growing season. The length of a growing season depends on the
local climate and the type of greenhouse. There are several types of
garden greenhouses to consider if you’re just setting to build
one.
One of the types of garden greenhouses is a hoop house. There are several
advantages to this specific setup. This is a fairly inexpensive option.
It is not considered a permanent structure and so it does not require
a building permit. It is sturdy enough, but it can be moved. Hoop houses
are a great way to try out greenhouse gardening.
Both glass and plastic greenhouses can have a timber frame or an aluminum
frame. Some gardeners opt to build a sturdy framework that will hold
the heavier glass panels, but then put plastic panels into it to save
money, allowing them to upgrade to glass glazed panels when their finances
allow. Garden greenhouses give gardeners a viable way to save or make
money by growing their own produce or selling the products of their
perpetual indoor harvest to others.
